Marketing + Social Strategy, Content Marketing

Video Interview with Live Oak Founders

Live Oak AudioVisual, a Seattle audiovisual company, was navigating the event industry during the COVID-19 pandemic.

They needed a strategic partner to help solidify their company as an expert at the forefront of virtual events in the new online event landscape.

Spreading the word

Brilliant Marketing was hired to help spread the word about virtual events and what Live Oak AV was doing differently during the pandemic through marketing strategy and digital execution. Live Oak AV had a plan to build a livestream studio within their office space for clients to use and through brainstorm sessions, we built a content marketing strategy to showcase virtual event capabilities—and how to do them professionally. This message was conveyed through marketing tactics including: consistent blog posts, client case studies, email marketing and social media posts.

A transformational year + beyond

In 2021, Live Oak AV hosted 556 events. With this, they recouped the income lost in 2020 through in-person events and surpassed their business goals. In 2022, they even reached their 7 figure goal. Through consistent content marketing, Live Oak AV has a booked schedule and expanding team. They were also able to raise over $5M for their nonprofit clients through virtual and hybrid events during the height of the pandemic.

“I was impressed with Brilliant’s goal of creating positive social impact through the marketing services they provide and that they choose client relationships through this lens. This philosophy married well with why we were adding live streaming and building a studio; to help our nonprofit clients transition their in-person fundraisers to COVID-safe virtual events. I felt that a marketing company that understood the importance of social investment would be a great partner to help us get our nonprofit clients back on their feet.”
